The Answer Center helps over 600 families a month in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota area. They have computers with internet, they offer clothes, food, and programs to help those people in need.

THE ANSWER CENTERS Purpose is rooted in love as it seeks to provide a one-stop resource for holistic assistance and families in Sioux Falls and the surrounding area.

There are numerous organizations and agencies that provide assistance for specific difficulties and needs. This is a two-edged sword of sorts. The fact that there is options for assistance is wonderful. However, identifying these organizations and working through the process to actually recieve help can be overwhelming, especially for someone who already feels over-burdened. Often in these situations when assistance is recieved, we are back to the issue of treating symptoms but not addressing the underlying problems that still exist.

This is where The Answer Center (TAC) is different from a typical organization or agency. Not only will a person be guided through the maze of assistance options for their immediate needs but will be provided holistic assistance (treating the mind, body, and spirit) in all aspects of their lives to get to the core problems. This type of assistance is not a hand out but a hand up!

The Answer Centers vision is to be synonymous with the word "help", resulting in personal and community transformation.

ASSESSMENT  

  Individual Families seeking assistance will work through a simple prosess of assessment discovering needs. TAC will offer a plan for solutions, provide appropriate assistance, and track progress. TAC reserves the right to refuse assistance to those who take advantage of benevolence and are not willing to work toward long-term solutions to difficulties.

ASSISTANCE

FOOD... Families in need of food may be assisted through the Answer Center's food pantry/hub. TAC is a distribution center for partnering churches, agencies, and organizations.

CLOTHING... Whether it's work, school, or everyday clothing, TAC can help meet the needs of individuals and families.

COUNSELING... Dealing with emotional issues of society can be a challenge. Crisis and pastoral counseling is provided on site. However, individuals and families may be referred to a partner off site who is a trained proffeswsional.

JOB ASSISTANCE... TAC assist those who are unemployed, as discovered through the assessment process, in finding a job. TAC partners with employment services, businesses, and other agencies. TAC can assist with resume writing, interviewing, and job placement.

RECOVERY GROUPS... The Christian 12-step and CMA (Crystal Meth Anonymous) recovery groups meet weekly in TAC's warehouse.

FAITH COMMUNITY HEALTH... TAC has a volunteer Registered Nurse who offers health care services to the community two days a week.

SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT... TAC's services are offered to people of any faith or no faith. However, we believe the way of Jesus provids clarity for life's journey. Individuals and families not affiliated with a church are encouraged to consider the Christian faith.
